| Clean, simple floral treatment with very unique, likely homemade, leaf stamp and unusual edge treatment. I like the effect of the overlapping stamps on the edge -- it's a nice touch. Signs of wear, so someone loved this prior to it coming to me. It would look nice alone, or "stacked" with other bracelets in the "S'West style." If worn alone, the nice thing about silver bands without stones is that you can forget about them. I have a friend who lives in his ingot band bracelet. Sleeps in it, showers in it, never takes it off. Without a stone to worry about, plain silver can go everywhere with you. That may be responsible for part of the little bits of wear evident on this piece, which is not a bad thing. Many buyers prefer pieces with wear to pieces that look as if they are perfect or just came off an assembly line. This is a great example of an artist with a unique style, one I've not encountered before although unfortunately the single initial doesn't give me enough to go on to track the maker. (Did you know that it's only fairly recently, since about the 1950s or so, that Native artists even began to sign their work and some still don't, especially the elders? They don't feel it's right to put their name on the piece.) This bracelet is sweet and bold at the same time. It would be a great compliment to the summer clothes that are in style this year. A perfect graduation gift or birthday gift -- these never go out of style. Dimensions: Inside measurements end-to-end are 5 1/8 inches. Opening is 1 1/4 inches. Bracelet is 1/2 inches wide. Weight is 0.75 oz. or 21 grams. | ||
