| This fine Hopi Manta is nicer than my poor pictures show. It is made from natural brown homespun wool, much of which is over dyed with indigo. There is some commercial yarn used in the tassels and over weave parts as well. In near mint condition, there is slight wear at the corners. It was literally caked with dirt when I got it, I had to wash it to make sure it would not rot! fine diamond patterns in the top and bottom. circa 1910, possibly earlier. Purchased directly from a pueblo family, about 55" by 39". | ||
