Oketani Teichi Japanese pottery tenmoku chawan tea bowl
$235.00

I am going to show my profuse ignorance listing the next few Japanese ceramic items -- I have not idea who made them, lost the records on them. This is a very nice ash glaze patterned tenmoku tea bowl. The artist used paper cut outs to give a pattern of dragon and phoenix on the inside. This type of pottery derives from the old Chinese Jian kilns of about 800 years ago. Has a silver rim, perfect condition about 5" diameter, artist signed with signed box.
