| This shield has an unusual design and is fairly large at 28" long, carved from hard wood. Collected in the area of Roebourne in Pilbarra in the 1950's. Finely incised on the back and front ( incising is filled with ochre and lime on front so hard to see ), note the knot that fell out. Minor damage and wear, fine patina, especially on back indicating many decades of use. | ||
