Pair of roughly formed spheres of Nile silt each with abroad orifice on one side. Perhaps used to confection faience balls. For similar spheres assumed to be for the manufacture of faience beads cf. item UC55347 in the Petrie Museum. Mud. Egyptian, Late Period, 664-343 BC. H. 2.1 cm to 2.4 cm (0.8 in to 0.95 in). Intact. Joined by an imperforate mud ball. Swiss private collection (data will be provided to the buyer)
