Attic Dish of the Swan Group, 550-500 BC

Unusual dish decorated with four swans to left and rows of faded strokes for filling ornament.
The baseline and the rim with lines in applied red color. The inside of the dish is glazed black.
The Swan Group is formed by painters of miniature vessels usually decorated with swans.
As common with the group the swans are rendered cursorily in silhouette technique.
