Greek Female Figurine, 2nd/1st Century BC
Terracotta female figure clad in a chiton, the himation drawn over her head. Standing on her left leg, she is clutching some drapery with her bent left arm.
Mannered late Hellenistic style with a very small head and tall body. Rendered with delicate features and an elongated back of the head.
Inspired by Greek Tanagra figurines. This item is most likely to come from Egypt.

H. 11.7 cm (4.6 in)
Intact, standing on a circular base, vent hole on the back side. Small craze on the front. Tiny remains of the original pigment.
