Accurate miniature version of a Luristan axe head with a pointed, nearly triangular blade and three straight ribs at rear terminating in conical spurs.
The cylindrical hole at center with remains of the original shaft. The small scale is rare and denotes the votive or ceremonial function of the item. Bronze Luristan, ca. 1000 BC L. 5.5 cm (2.1 in) Intact and of fine quality.
