Rare Etruscan dish of shallow fairly rounded floor and wide flat stepped-up rim. Standing on a small ring foot.
The shape is known from stemmed plates. Flat footed dishes seem rare, though. For a stemmed dish cf. B 26 in: John W. Hayes. Etruscan and Italic Pottery in the Royal Ontario Museum. Toronto 1985.

Intact. Fine condition. A pair of suspension holes at the rim. Root marks.
Swiss private collection, by descent. In family possession before 1968 (data to the buyer).
