Attic black-figure lekythos with the rather rare depiction of Pegasus. The winged horse is striding between youths. On the vessel's shoulder an upright palmette flanked by attendants. Greek, from Athens, circa 530 BC. H. 16.5 cm (6.5 in). Broken spout and foot reattached, otherwise intact. Reddish glaze slightly worn in places. German art market.
