| Serene female head with finely modeled facial features. The elongated head shows a prominent nose, fleshy lips and a round chin. The heavy lids narrow her eyes to slits. The free-modeled hairdo is parted at center and topped by a crown. The head orientates on Hellenistic types and is most likely from Egypt. For a related head cf. lot no. 1186 in: Wolfgang Schürmann. Broken below the chin. Bridge of the nose and chin with minor wear. Some crazes at rear. The head was taken from two molds and extensively reworked with the modeling stick.
