Egyptian wood figure of the god Thot in the form of an ibis. The bird is reclining, the nicely carved head with the sickle-shaped beak is calmly put back. Wood. Egypt, New Kingdom, 1570-1070 BC. L. 7.6 cm, H. with stand 6.8 cm. Intact and of superb quality and condition. Traces of gesso overlay. German art market (Provenance will be provided to the buyer)
