| Egyptian female head with slender face and an elaborate hairdo showing horizontally arranged curls topped by a coil of hair. The hair at the back of the head is braided. Similar arrangements of the hairdo are common during the Trajanic period. For a related head in the Louvre cf. item no. 712 in F. Dunand. Catalogue des terres cuites gréco-romaines d’Egypte.
