Thin-walled Gnathia ware cup of pointed mastoid shape. The base rendered with three tiny shells. The inside decorated with fine white lines enclosing two red bands. The decoration is characteristic for late Canosan Gnathia ware. Ceramic. Northern Apulia, Canosa, ca. 270 BC. D. 11.4 cm (4.5 in), H. 6 cm (2.3 in). Intact and of fine condition. Thin-walled. Minor pitting and wear in places. Swiss private collection (data will be provided to the buyer)
