| This is an amazing 18th century Aubusson fragment from either a canape or larger tapestry that was trimmed down. It measures 30" tall by 25.5" wide. The content is centered and symmetrical depicting a garden structure. The colors are dramatic and quite crisp for the age of the textile. There are some small repairs and the piece is backed with a mushroom colored velvet with velvet rings for hanging. A 19th century bullion border was added and the look is perfect. This is a great fragment with great colors. Currently on display in Memphis, TN at Palladio Antiques. | |||||||
