A small Chinese Bronze altar piece in the form of an Elephant carrying a vase standing on a lotus base. In Chinese symbolism an Elephant carrying a vase symbolises 'peace and serenity'. This little personification of serenity measures 4¾ inches tall and is quite heavy for his size. Dates to the 19th century.

18th century Tibeto-Chinese parcel-gilt bronze figure of Ushnishavijaya "Victorious Crown Ornament ", a figure closely associated with longevity in the Tibetan Tantric tradition. Intensely gilded with her 8 arms arranged rhythmically around her the goddess measures 13.8cm in height. The style, especially the execution of the faces suggest the piece may have been made for the Mongolian market.

An unusual Tibeto-Chinese gilt bronze figure of a dancing Bodhisattava or Celestial. The best know figures of this type where the pair of Ming Xuande bronzes which sold in Hong Kong in 2006. This bronze is much later and dates to around 1800. It has unfortunately lost a lot of the gilding on the figure itself with only traces left throughout, the gilding seems to be intact on the ends of the scarves which swirl either side of the figure...

Expressive Ming Dynasty Chinese stone head of a Buddhist Lohan. Chinese Buddhist Temples traditionally contain statues of the Eighteen Lohan each with a different posture and expression. This head comes with a bespoke black wooden stand and measures 6½ inches in height, 9½ including the stand.
