An antique Javanese Wayang Golek puppet from west Java dating from around 1900. The head has been repainted several times and the clothing replaced as happens with all genuine old working puppets. The puppet measures about 22 inches from the top of the head to the bottom of the controlling stick.

An unusual large antique wooden puppet head, probably Indonesian. Hole on the base of the neck for inserting a stick. Head measures 7½ inches in height, age split to one side, remains of pigment.
