A nice Roman bronze medical and/or cosmetic spoon measuring 4.7 cm and dated 37 BC - 50 AD, the Herodian Era of the Roman Period. The article was discovered in Israel and was in use in the Holy Land at the same time that Jesus Christ was there. The spoon is covered with a pleasant green patina and a slight dirt covering. This spoon was broken in antiquity and this portion is in excellent condition. At the time this spoon was manufactured there were millions of bronze articles being made for the general population, businesses, the government and the military.
