A playful Sake Set by Sawa Katsunori, each piece enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Oribe Tokkuri and Oribe Guinomi respectively.  The capricious brush has worked over the various colors creating crosscurrents among the various themes which play off of each other .  The perfect compliment to the charms of a good bottle of sake.

Sawa Katsunori was born in 1980, the son of Legendary Shigaraki potter Sawa Kiyotsugu in Koga-shi Shiga prefecture.  He gratduated the Shiga Prefectural Ceramics Research facility in 2002, and went to study under Suzuki Goro in the heart of Mino territory.  In 2005 he returned to Shiga to establish his own kiln, and began exhibiting his wares the following year and has held solo exhibitions in many of Japans top galleries since.
