The red face indicates that the mask was originally created for a male and four dowels remain intact that originally pegged the mask to the outside of of the coffin. The eyes, nose and facial details are well-formed and of good quality. The figure wears a black headdress with original pigment. The mask measures an impressive 10.5" tall and 6" wide. Egypt, Late Period, 664 - 350 B.C.
