Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this splendid intact Greek Lekanis for your consideration. The Lekanis remains in excellent, intact condition with only standard wear and minor chips that do not detract. The lid of the lekanis features palmette design with a lady of fashion and a banded design around the base. Both handles remain intact and the piece measures 9cm high x 18cm in diameter. Greece, 4th Century B.C.

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this ancient Greek terracotta figure of a Boeotian maiden (possible Aphrodite) from the Classical Period. She stands on a rectangular plinth with her left hand on her stomach and her right hand resting on what is possibly the edge of a piece of furniture or the top of a large jug. She wears a garment that ancient Greek women at the height of the Classical period wore with a nicely styled beaded necklace and flowing hair...

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this quality bronze surgical instrument. The instrument was used as a probe and one end is grooved, which may have been used to hold sutures. There is a nice banded groove design toward the end and the bronze instrument has a lovely ancient olive patina. The instrument itself measures 6 5/8" in length. This comes beautify and professionally framed with a description plaque on the front. The frame size measures 11.25" x 9.25". Roman, Ca. 100 A.D.

Relics of the Nile is very pleased to present this superb rare ancient Egyptian necklace composed of New Kingdom faience tubular beads (read below for information regarding how the beads were made). The beads are multi-colored and are brilliant in every way, displaying colors of red, white, very bright blue, green, rust, and more! Relics of the Nile is pleased to present his wonderful twin-handled Egyptian alabastron. The alabastron is nicely banded and well-sculpted with a cylindrical neck and disc rim. The alabastron is presented on a custom base for easy display and measures 3.25" in height (3.7" tall including the base". Egypt, Late Period ca 664 - 350 B.C..

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this fragmented, but still lovely Egyptian blue faience offering cup with cartouche. The back and part of the lower portion is missing, however the front containing the cartouche of the pharaoh is still intact. The cartouche is highlighted in black and appears to contain the cartouche of Amenhotep. The vessel measures 2" in height, plus the size of the base. Spears in ancient Egypt were primarily used for hunting, however the spear never surpassed the bow and arrow. Spear heads like this one were attached to long wooden shafts by means of a tang and were often used in the military as auxiliary weapons used by charioteers once their arrows were expended. Relics of the Nile is thrilled to present this amazing and extremely rare limestone Amarna relief. This is a finely incised talatat fragment dating to the Amarna Period (18th Dynasty, 1344-1344 B.C.) and depicts a hand and arm of Akhenaten and rays from the solar disc. Faint traces of red pigment remain within the rays. Images showing a similar complete scene are attached.
