Relics of the Nile is very pleased to present this superb ancient Egyptian ushabti. This example is intact with a tremendous bright ancient color remaining. The color on the piece is simply stunning and remains vibrant to this day without restoration. The most interesting aspect of the color, however, is that this ushabti varies from the more common faience blue and displays a very rich, very vibrant, shiny white color. This glaze forms an impressive alternative to faience blue and makes the piece much more scarce on the collecting market. The facial features are brilliant, along with the depiction of the ushabti standing in Osiride form with sulk and hoe in his hands. The Nemes headcloth is also very clearly formed along with the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. A very fine piece worthy of any collection. The ushabti dates to the Late (747 - 332 B.C.) A wonderful large piece that measures 4.5" in height and makes an impressive display
