Relics of the Nile is proud to present this superb ancient Egyptian bronze Horus Amulet. This bronze has a wonderful olive patina with specks of the bronze underneath showing in spots. The bronze is in solid condition with some crude detail. This amulet shows Horus as a child in his famous seated position with hand to mouth. Also known by Harpocrates in later periods, the child Horus is a very important symbol in ancient Egyptian belief. This piece remains in choice condition with only minor loss. The suspension loop is present, but was not completely formed on the back of the piece. The amulet measures 1" in height. A wonderful display! Egypt, Late Period (664 - 50 B.C.).
