Large Egyptian Limestone Offering Scene Relief!

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding Egyptian offering scene relief. This example features a masterfully sculpted Eye of Horus in the upper left section of the relief, which watches over the offering scene below. The sacred Apis bull is presented in outstanding detail and faces from left to right below the Eye of Horus and adorns the solar crown and horns. To the right of the bull are the offerings, including a lotus flower, bundled fowl, grains, and jars of food. Above the offerings is a register of vertical hieroglyphics. This is a beautiful and heavy example which features an outstanding offering scene and is presented on a custom museum display. The relief measures 13" in length, 7" in height, and an impressive 3" in thickness. Egyptian, New Kingdom, Ca. 1,300 B.C.
