This is a Hand Colored Print. It shows the equestrian Statue of George Washington surrounded with a wreath, composed of the principle agricultural products of the Confederacy--cotton, tobacco, sugar cane, corn, wheat and rice. It is Marked "The Confederate States of America: 22 February 1862". At the bottom, the motto, "Deo Vindice" (God Favor Our Cause) The Seal was engraved by Joseph S. Wyon, Chief Engraver of Her Majesty's Seals, London, England. The Seal is 18 3/4" Diameter. In the Frame it is 25 3/4" x 25 3/4".
