The size of each Sake Cup: 2 7/8” Dia x 1.1/8” High. This is set of 5 pcs, marvelously painted with gold. It is Kutani porcelain Sake Cups. Each cups has very fine detail painting work by gold and white raised Kiku flower painting. The gold are painted over thin layer of green under the gold. There are micro gold line works done for Kiku’s leaves. The same design works are done both side of cup, inside as well as outside. Each cup hasmarking of Kutani-sei inside Kodai with red background. It came with storing box which not original one rather later year. The cups were made in late Meiji to Early Taisho, 1910-1920's. before the war. The condition of cups are excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. A couple of cups surface has tiny particles from kiln. I never seen such a detailed painted Sake cups. The cup are made with very thin porcelain walls.
