The size of Bowl: 5 5/8" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Japanese Ko Imari Blue and White, Sometsuke Porcelain Bowl. The bowl is made with very handsome shape and fine quality porcelain as well as fine glazing. The center of bowl has Sho Chiku Bai design. There is Hatomon(wave design) around. The side wall has unusual Karakusa design which were painted very well. Outside has double line karakusa design. The foot rim area with oxoxox design. It is marked with Saika Nensei. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There is small Hittsuki at wave design which is hardly noticed. There are a couple of area on Kodai(foot rim) has glazing expelled, one original kiln spot. It expected for this old aged bowl. The bowl sit well. It is almost none scratch. Dating from Edo Chuki(middle Edo), 1740-1750. Estimated price $325.00-$350.00. The hammered price including US Domestic priority mail insured.
