The size of Bowl: 5 1/2" Dia x 1 5/8" High. Japanese Ko-Imari Sometsuke (Blue and White, underderglaze) Ai(blue) Kakiemon style Porcelain Bowl. It has Hagi Mijin Karakusa ( bush clover Karakusa) design finely painted. The center of bowl has Go-Ben-Hana design (5 flower petals). It is marked with Tai-Min-Nensei. The condition of bowl excellent. No chip and no crack. A couple of minor glaze sticks near the inside double circle lines as photo showing. The bowl has fine crackle glazing finish like Satsuma piece which is called Amate finish over the ball. It is caused from when the temperature of kiln differentiated when the bowl was pulled out into cold air. The bowl sit well. Dating from mid 18C, Middle of Edo.(1740-80), Middle Edo(Edo chuki). I have updated the photos of bowl. Actual Sometsuke is prettier.
