Japanese Ko Imari Bowl, Ai Kakiemon style 18c
The size of Bowl: 5 1/2" Dia x 1 5/8" High. Japanese Ko-Imari Sometsuke (Blue and White, underderglaze) Ai(blue) Kakiemon style Porcelain Bowl. It has Hagi Mijin Karakusa ( bush clover Karakusa) design finely painted. The center of bowl has Go-Ben-Hana design(5 flower petals). It is marked with Tai-Min-Nensei. The condition of bowl excellent. No chip and no crack. The bowl has fine crazing finish like Satsuma piece which is called Amate finish over the ball. The bowl sit well. Dating from mid 18C, Middle of Edo.(1740-80), Middle Edo(Edo chuki).
