Fine Gold Works Satsuma Gourd Shape Vase

The size of Satsuma Vase: 6 7/8" High x 3 1/2" Dia(widest, lower bulb), 1 3/4" Dia upper bulb. Gorgeous and beautiful Satsuma Vase in Hyotan (Gourd) shape. The workmenship is just wonderful. Main lower bulb area front has Kuku(Japanese Chrysanthmum) design in the color of red, white, and yellow design as well as in gold, the leaves are done with some Gosu blue color. Other side area with clouds design with birds, flowers as well as butterfly and wild flowers are also painted. It is amazing that even some leaves condition eaten by the caterpillar are expressed as 10th photo showing the detail, farright one show raised finish leaf showing realistic finish(not damage), it is done in pourpose as other leaves are in similar concept. The top bulb area is done in smaller scale manner with same type flowers. The band decoration are also fantastically done. Top vase has the design of Karakusa at the rim the karakusa desing actually woked into inside vase. Below with comb design, then four different swirl design in such a detail x 2 times around which makes 8 swirl band design. Before the lower bulb, comb design, band of gold, then another type of river like design with four different design in metacurately painted with one other jewel like design with four panel. Lastly with 16 panel decoration before foot rim by four design. Just breathtaking works. Fine and excellent condition. No chip, no crack and no hairline other than normal Satsuma crazing. Dating from Meiji period (1868-1910). It is not signed but it surely has the caliber works of Kinkozan or Seikozan type fine works.
