| The size of Inro; 3 1/8" Wide x 2" Long x 3/4" Thick, It is beautifully carved Two case Japanese Antique Inro with nice Manju and silver Ojime. The Inro is made by wooden body with red lacquer inside. Inro was used for red ink for the top case and lower case as sumi ink as original ink cottom still inside. I have removed ink spots from lower case around. The design of carving is Tora(tiger) with bamboo around. It realy wonderfully carved all over the inro. Very finel quality wood. Manju was made by wooden body with tin metal in the center. Inro's himotoshi spots has made with silver parts. The eyes of tiger are also made by silver. Ojime is made with silver. It is design of Kiri Mon desgin. The center body of ojime looks appeared as Shibuichi(combination of silver and bronze). It is signed on the bottom. It read as "79 years old", then the artist name. "Kiyamada". The condition of Inro is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. It has just little wear on inro case red lacquer area. The himo is not original one as aged one replaced. The dating from Edo Kouki, late Edo, early to mid 19th century. | |||||||||||||||
