| The size of Scroll: 75 1/2" Long x 22" Wide, Painting area size: 49 3/4" Long x 16 1/2" Wide. Beautifuly painted Japanese Scroll painting done over silk background. It is painted by Sumi(black ink) on Mountain Fuji and Dragon. The eyes of dragon and stream around dragon painted by little gold. The subject is "Fuji Goe Ryu"(dragon passing over Mountain Fuji). The painting was done in very dynamic form of clouds and dragon. The shade of sumi and blank white space are beautifully controlled and showing the cloud and mist are finely expressed with fine brush strokes. The strong wind going down from Mountain Fuji, yet Dragon is flying against the downstream wind from Mountain Fuji. Very handsomely painted scroll with nice composition. Dragon was not overwhelmed comparing with size of Mt. Fuji. It is signed on lower left. Kosetsu Kin Natsu. Kosetsu painted in summer time. Chop seal of Kosetsu. Minami Kosetsu was born in Taisho 5th(1916-?) at Osaka, he studied under Hashimoto Kansetsu(1883-1945) who was the one of top artist in Japan. It came with kiri wood box. The scroll dated Showa 7th(1932) April which is dated inside wooden scroll box by owner name Motomura Kanichi. The jiku end made by bone. The condition of scroll excellent. No tear. Very little wear.
