The size of Planter: 7 3/8" dia x 8 1/2" high( 5 3/4" dia opening, 5" dia straight down). It is very rare Japanse Kutani Porcelain Planter. It has Peacock design with pretty flower design(peony, wisteria and others). It is very finely painted on the peaccok feathers as well as other painting. The top rim and bottom rim area with Akae work with the gold painted finely as well. It has three attractive foot. Very nice shape. It is marked Kutani Watano Sei(made). It is made as planter from begining. The condition of planter excellent. No chip, no crack, no hairline(damaged hairline) other than aged hairline because of this kind kutani porcelain nature. One Hittsuki(original kiln glaze stick) on the top rim.It sound very good. Gold condition is excellent as well. Dating from late Edo to early Meiji, 1850-1880.
