The size of Plate: 8 1/2" Dia x 1 1/4" High. Pretty Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Plate. The plate has the shape called, "Hanzori-Sara" which is different carving from other normal plate with curled around at the edge. This plate is curled out instead which is unusual shape for poly chrome works. The plate has pretty large Botan (peony) design in the center with gold, red, blue underglaze. There is Han Hanabish Mon(half diamond flower design) also unusual to see on Iroe plate. There is two section of Kiri design in pretty emerald green over bamboo fence and Ho-O (phoenix) with gold finish. Two geometrical shape red Karakusa design between thwo section. The condition of plate, excelelnt, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There are tiny kiln indentation spots with glazed from original where you can see at 1st photo 10 o'clock area. Dating from early 19c, 1810-1840. Late Edo. Actual enamel color is prettier.
