| The size of Bowl: 5 7/16" Dia x 2 11/16" High. Very Shibui Japanese Ki(yellow) Iraho Chawan, Tea Bowl. Bowl is made by Iraho Yaki, which is top of Wabi Sabi favorite tea ceremony ranking ware. It is unusual to see two pincked spots on edge of tea bowl. The bowl has the writing Kanji "Yume" (Dream in Japanese) which was changed by Yuhen(natural firing formation in kiln). It made more attractive and unique Keshiki. The condition of chawan is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One hittsuki, ramp on the side as photo showing, this probablly attached by artist. It has Kizan marking inside Kodai. It came with Tomobako. Outside box has Juraku Kizan marking. Inside cover, Iraho Chawan, Mei(title): Yume, Then authenticated by someone writing. Dating from 1940-1960's, maybe before war. | |||||||||||||||
