The Bodhisattva seated in dhyanasana on a stylized throne carved with two adorants flanking a stupa. A scarf draped over his left shoulder. With pendents ear rings, necklaces and bracelets. His face with downcast eyes. This piece is made of dark schist, from the Gandhara period, 2nd to 3rd century. Dimensions are: 1.10 ft (56 cms) high mounted and 1.8 (51 cms) for the piece alone without mount. Estimate value: $13 000 / $19 000

Size of this fine gray sandstone piece is 2.1 Ft (64 cms) height on stand and 1.10 Ft (56 cms) height of the statue alone.
