A fine Khmer standing divinity, Pre-Angkor 8th Cent
The very well carved divinity figure, Standing in samabhanga with two of his four arms broken, the upper ones holding cakra and sankha, Wearing a long sampot secured by a thin belt, Naked upper body, His face with serene expression, arched eyebrows above incised almond-shaped eyes, aquiline nose, slightly smiling lips, pierced elongated earlobes and high mitre. Size of this fine gray sandstone piece is 2.1 Ft (64 cms) height on stand and 1.10 Ft (56 cms) height of the statue alone.
