Extremely rare cylinder seal, Neo-Babylonian or Neo-Assyrian, ca 900-600 BC.

Made from copper or bronze and huge! (5,5 cm high, 3,6 cm width). Likely unique because only a few metal seals are documented, as they all were melted in antiquity. At the bottom of seal a trace of metal disc is visible (see photo) - that seal was mounted and the metal disc had a small loop (a rod ending). As D...

A highly interesting and rare short dagger, Western Asia or Ancient Near East, 2nd. millenium BC.

The type is very peculiar: At first glance we thought it to be Bactrian but the raised central area of the blade and the fine engravings of the handle, points to Greater Persia.

We think it's rather late and has perhaps never had a handle - could be a sort of throwing knife?.

Size: 28,4 cm.

Neo Elamite bronze bowl with cuneiform inscription, ca. 1st half of the 1st millennium B.C.

Size: 17 cm and 5,3 cm high

This bowl could be from an area near the Zagros mountains. There is no doubt that the name of the father is Elamite, since it's identical with a name which is already recorded in published documents. The ductus and the -na genitive suffix are typically Neo-Elamite. Therefore the inscription is datable to the first half of the 1st millennium BC.
