A lovely lot of handpicked bronze stamp seals with fine caligraphy, Ottoman / Syrian?, c. 15th.-18th. cent. AD.

The lot incl. a couple of rare larger seals of fine style as well as early personal seals with greek letters!

Condition: Choice, fine patinas, one seal bend and one with handle lost.

An Islamic seal in a terrific quality and extra large size, probably Persian, c. 17th.-18th. cent. AD or earlier!

Engraved with finely caligraphy, round seal base with a tall domed handle, pierced at the top.

Size: 43 mm. in diameter and 40 mm tall.

Condition: Good Very fine, lovely redish patina.

An ancient-medieval bronze bowl of the high tin content 'white bronze' type with engravings Gaznavids, dating to c. 10th-11th. century AD.

A massive bowl, likely a food bowl for really large parties. The bowl almost completely covered with fine azurite patina on the exterior and when cleaned would reveal the fine design of incised circles-dots (bulls-eye), likely hexacons as well.

A massive bowl, likely a food bowl for really large parties. The interior of the bowl is almost completely covered with fine azurite patina and when cleaned would reveal the fine design of incised circles-dots (bulls-eye) and perhaps hexacons as well; the exterior is cleaned and plain.

A massive bronze figurine from the medieval period, Islamic, Seljuq Empire, 10th.-11th. century AD.

The lion stands erect on 4 legs and incised details of the mane and head. A particularly charming specimen with finely made features of the head of the Lion, heavy body and seperate legs. Would have been quite expensive in the medieval period with it's high weight of solid bronze and nice workmanship.

Size: c. 53 mm. long and 47 mm...

An nice larger mirror in bronze, Islamic, 10th.-12th. century AD.

The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

Size: 14,2 cm.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth water-green patina. Old Collection tag on the reverse.

An important extra large bronze humped bull sculpture, Amlash circa 1000-800 B.C.

A very attractive bronze bull, standing on it's stout legs and with a oversize hump and pierced through the body. Highly unusual this detailed and in the impressive size!

Size: 84 mm. long and 63 mm. tall.

Condition: Superb for type, with very nice metal and great mottled green patina.

A fine larger bronze seal with a loop on the back and a strange complicated symbol in the base, Bactria, Rulers of the Hindu Kush, 3rd.-2nd. millenium BC.

Size: c. 30 mm. in diameter.

Condition: Very fine for type with beautiful red and green patina, small ancient chip.

With spherical body on short foot, the tubular neck with traces of engravings, the handle with beading and pomegranate thumb-rest, minor dents, hairline crack and a couple of small holes to body, but intact, overall patination to surface.

A substantial and interesting type of early Islamic vessel.

A superb and large specimen of an Old Elamite / Mespotamian type of bronze battle axe, c. early 2nd. mill. BC.

The axe well-modelled, the blade flares outward in a spectacular curve, its edge delineated as a thinner border. Thick socket with two spikes on the back and decorated with concenthric rings. The socket looks like the open mouth of a beast when viewed horisontically.

Size: c. 115 mm. wide and c. 88 mm. tall. The blade is c 80 mm. broad!

Pair of very fine specimen of the earliest metal daggers known, BMAC / Indus, Chalcolithic period, 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

Interesting and collectable daggers! Flat, leafshaped blades and very long, twisted tangs.

A superb massive gold ring of 22+ carat gold with convex gemstone of garnet, depicting a lion tearing a deer, above it a crescent, in front of it a stylized plant. Graeco-persian, 2nd half of the 6th century BC.

Stunning quality engraving and a heavy gold ring, suitable for wearing today.
