A rare and beautiful large stamp seal in black Jet stone, Indo-Iranian / Bactrian, 1st. mill. BC.

The seal depicts the typical scene from Neo-Assyrian seals where the great king or hero slays the lion. The size and shape of the stone, combined with the wonderful naiive style of the carving, is more typical for the Bactrian region. And interesting seal made in the borderlands between Persian and Bactrian influence.

Scarce large and interesting green stone stamp seal, Sassanian, 3rd.-5th. century AD.

A particularly well-engraved Sassanian seal with the image of two confronting lions or perhaps a Lion and a Griff - a well-known image but scarcely for sale.

Interestingly, this was engraved using a spectacularly mottled glossy green stone, very attractive and unusual.

A superb cylinder seal carved in Lapis Lazuli, Mesopotamian, Early Dynastic period, 2600-2500 BC.

The seal is of very high quality, featuring a very good contest scene in which a Hero is figthing two horned animals while another hero is figthing one horned animal. Very detailed. Interestingly, there's a cobber wire stock inside the seal since antiquity and it has developed much corrosion and patina.
