A very large ring size (23 mm. or so) Roman bronze seal ring with the portrait bust of a 4th. century Emperor.

After close comparison with coin portraits, We would date it to the Constantinian family, 320-340 AD, rather than Valens or later emperors. In any case guaranteed from the 4th. century.

A very attractive ring made in fine brassy alloy bronze - socalled orchalcum.
