A fine 5 Tical bronze weight is Burmese, and made by the Shan (Burmese ethnic group) ca. 1796-1819 and has a pleasing form - the socalled Shan Duck. The Shan were known for their superior bronze casting. From Burma, this 5 tical bird opium weight was made by the Shan (Burmese ethnic group) and has a pleasing form with a an U-shaped wing and standing on a hexagonal base.
