FINE HARD STONE SEAL RING (BEZEL) WITH THE CARTHOUCHE OF THUTMOSE III, NEW KINGDOM, Thutmose III, ruled 1479-1425 BC

The superbly preserved engraved bezel of a stone ring, carved in hard black stone with white inclusions. A part of the ring itself broken off in antiquity but the bezel and shoulders are fully intact and shows Anubis seated on throne, the cartouche of Thutmose and the 'Ankh of Life' symbol. Could be read as 'Thutmose, the ruler over life and dead'.
