An intact incense burner with a lovely chestnut brown patina, China, Ming Dynasty, later 16th.- early 17th. century AD.

Standing on 4 legs, finely decorated with archaic motifs and with a Chilon / Lion on the top of the square lid.

Height: 22 cm. Weight: 965 grams.

Rare pair of Chinese Chrysanthemum Bowls or dishes, China, for ritual purpose, Ming Dynasty, c. 15th. century AD.

Ritual low food bowls or dishes for a rich Ming dynasty tomb, shaped in relief after the Chrysanthemum flower with a glaze of torquise and olive colours. Quite rarely seen as a large pottery model!

Condition: Extremely fine for type and age, with uncleaned deposits of dirt. Finely preserved glaze with a nice gloss. Wear for type and age.

An beautifully detailed pottery figure of a MNother with her child, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming period c. 1550-1600 AD.

The lady is clad in a large thick robe, covering the most of her head, and she is holding a newborn chikd to hear breast. She is standing on a round plint, and the glaze is torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

A large and high quality Ming Dynasty pottery figure of a warrior probably an officer, dating to 1368-1644.

The figure with many fine details. A high helmet with decorations, the harness is covered with Green and Yellow Sancai colors. Note the lions on the shoulder and shield. He is wearing a sword in his hand. Pigmented colors in red, white, black of which much remains.

The head is attachable as on most larger ming figures...

The ladies are dressed large thick robes, with imposing hairdresses. One is wearing af fan, the other is wearing purse in front of her chest. Both are standing on round plints. They are glazed in torqouise and dark blue colours.

A beautiful young woman, seen in motion forward, in an expensive dress, holding a basket, standing on a square plint. She is glazed in fine green and yellow Sancai colors. Beautiful ornate headdress.

This type are the finest and most elegant figures we've had from Ming dynasty, with it's careful thick glazing and finely painted details.

A very nice pair of decorative pottery figures of Soldiers, China, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The soldiers are dressed in dark blue and turqouise glazed uniforms with harness and helmets. Each are carrying a weapon - an axe and a sword. They are placed on square plints. Helmets and boots in pigmented colors.

Condition: A superb pair of pottery figures with wear for age and type.

A rarely seen set of zodiac figures with animal heads and human bodies. All are dressed in long gowns with long sleeves, their hands folded in front of their chests.

The Zodiacs are: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig or boar. These correspond to the twelve earthly branches and are infrequently found in wealthy tombs of the elite and wealthy ancient Ming Chinese.

A very large Ming Dynasty Tomb pottery horseman soldier, c. 1500 AD!

This figure is dating to the Ming dynasty around 1500 AD. and is very large!. It depicts a exceptionally scultured and detailed horseman - likely a soldier. He is seated on a horse. The soldier is fully glaced with a fantastic lively green jacket which looks like a sort of bodyarmor. The helmet, face and horse are decorated in different colours.

An artfully carved wood figure of Guanyin. The Bodhisattva of Compassion (Avalokitesvara) seated majestically in rajalilasana, the position of royal ease, with the right forearm resting on the knee of the raised right leg. Details in red laquer and gilt. A figure with a serene expression.

A huge gilt bronze figure of Buddha in exceptional quality, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), c. 16th. century AD.

A highly detailed bronze buddha of a heavy thic cast with much preserved laquer and fine gilt. The bronze figure depicts Buddha with a lovely expression and exceptional sculptured and engraved details to his robe and the Lotus Throne.
