A very interesting and extremely rare steatite scarab, dating to the late period, possibly Ptolemaic, c. 400-200 BC. The Scarab has a very unusual shape of another insect than the dung beetle and is engraved in the base with greek or latin letters 'I-V-A' Size: c. 22 mm. - large and very attraactive!
