A very rare beautyful scarab, carved in black hardstone, possibly onyx, dating to late period, 7th.-3rd. cent. BC. The scarab is carved and polished with the image of a running dog stylized and very artful. The beetle is very beatyfully carved as well. Size: 17 mm. Condition Superb! Some smooth wear and sedimant in the recesses. Ex. Danish Private Collection. |
