A beautyful large large Iranian pottery jar with caligraphic decoration, Samanid Dynasty, Islamic period 9th.-10th. Century AD.
The jar has black cufic scriptsigns of a greenish glaze. Size: 198 mm. high and c. 160 mm wide - impressive! Condition: Superb. Very litte restoration if any at all, crackled ancient glaze, glossy in parts. |
