A very rare Chinese terracotta tomb soldier holding a large maze, dating to the Ming dynasty, c. 14th.-16th. cent. AD.

This figure is large, 22-23 cm and depicts a soldier, holding a large maze in his left hand. The maze is oval type with openwork head and long shaft.
He is dressed in detailed bodyarmor. Wonderful coloured glazing on the body in different shades of glossy blue and red.
Condition: Superb! Exceptionally preserved details, very rarely seen!
