A superbly engraved Hematite cylinder seal of Assyrian period Syria, c. mid 2nd. mill. BC or slightly later. The seal is engraved with two rows of human heads and one row of birds. The engravings are extremely sharp without the weak spots that the roll-out indicates Size: c. 19-20 mm. Condition: Superb! Exceptionally sharp engraving and beautyful stone with a fine patina. |
