Rare & large Neo Assyrian cylinder seal, 8th.-7th. BC
A rare and very large cylinder seal in hard polished black stone, dating to the Neo-Assyrian empire, 8th.-7th. cent. BC.

The seal is engraved with a spectacular scene of a great bearded King with two eunuchs servants serving food. The seal is described in detail in the collection card from the collection whence it was from.

Size: 4,25 mm. large!

Condition: Choice!

Provenance: The collection of Dr. Paul Gerhard Langenkamp (1921-2012), Düsseldorf, Collected between 1940 and 1980 years. Notes written by Prof.Dr. Ruth Mayer-Opificius (1928-2006).
